No More Star Wars
Please. Make it go away. Listen I think it’s great that there are people are there that are passionate about Star Wars. I do. And I’m not one of those of people that think Star Wars is dorky or nerdy or [insert nerd synonym here]. I don’t. The Star Wars movies hold an important place in cinematic history. I think. Actually, I’ve never seen them, any of them. Ok, I think a saw a little of the first one when I was younger, but I might have fallen asleep. I’ve seen Spaceballs a million times though. I love that movie. I’ve seen enough clips and media stuff about Star Wars to know what it’s parodying. Mel Brooks, jam!,mogs,Daphne Zuniga. . . gotta love Spaceballs.
What I’m trying to say is this: Star Wars fans are annoying. I’m sorry, they are. Especially the ones that think they’re like these big nerds and are proud of it. I actually heard a guy on his cell phone say, “I’m going to see it again. I’m such a nerd. I love it. No one’s bigger dork than me. It's all ending. What am gonna do now dude. This blows.”
It’s ok to be passionate about something, in fact it’s great, but people who let things like movies and television influence them to the point where they begin to define them, kind of scare me.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go drink Cosmo’s and talk about men with my three best gal friends.
