More hot pics!
I took an acting for film class once and the instructor sat me down one day and said (in a nauseatingly pretentious British accent):
Him: Mindy, I think you’re doing great work. You have an excellent understanding of how to interpret text, you make smart choices, have good character development. But um, I think you really need to work on calming down your face.
Me: Um, ok . . .you mean…
Him: Well, for musical theatre, and for live "comedy" one usually has to work quite hard in order for a live audience, or people sitting all the way up in the balcony to read their emotions.
Me: Uh huh . . .
Him: Which is a fine skill to have, good for you, but on camera it’s different. One doesn't have to exaggerate one's facial expressions so much. Sometimes it looks rather um…unusual.
Me: Oh, well I don't think I do it on purpose, I think that's just the way I look when I’m talking...in general.
Him: Hmmm...yes. Well, yes I'm actually noticing that right now. Hmmm...yes you do indeed have a more "active" face in general. That poses a bit of a conundrum. You're just going to have to work that much harder to calm down your face a bit for a the camera.
Obviously this guy did NOT know what he was talking about.
